in 1966 he organized in New York what was to be defined as the first conceptual art exhibition in history. His work has always focused on language, its meaning, and its representation. It boasts an endless series of exhibitions in private galleries and is present in the permanent collections of MET, MoMA, Tate Modern in London, National Gallery in Washington, and MOCA in Los Angeles.
According to this recent article by Artsy, Mel Bochner ranks ninth among the most sought-after artists at contemporary art fairs globally in the first half of 2019. Lives and works in New York.
DAVID ROW (Portland, 1949):
graduated with honors from Yale University in 1972, where he earned a master’s degree in 1975. He then moved to New York, where he became a leading member of the then young generation of abstract artists such as Peter Halley, Ross Bleckner, and Mary Heilmann.
He has exhibited in countless solo and group exhibitions in leading American and international galleries. Lecturer in numerous institutions such as The Cooper Union, Rhode Island School of Design, Pratt Institute, Princeton University, Fordham University, he currently teaches at The School of Visual Arts in New York.
